Transforming Discipleship (Course 1/4)
Full course description
The Transforming Discipleship Program offers participants the opportunity to personally experience Biblical transformation, develop a solid and proven foundation for discipleship, and gain firsthand experience in ministering the Freedom in Christ approach to help others become spiritually free and fruitful disciples of Jesus Christ. This approach was scripturally defined by Dr. Neil T. Anderson and explained in the bestselling books, Victory Over the Darkness and the Bondage Breaker, which has been proven successful for more than 30 years in helping Christians around the world to find their freedom in Christ.
Course 1: Exploring Discipleship
The goal of this first course is to understand why discipleship is so important to every believer and learn of the Biblical approach of finding freedom in Christ Jesus through a process of repentance, renunciation, forgiveness, and breaking mental strongholds. This is the first of four courses within the Transforming Discipleship training program for making disciples.
- In module one, through a series of informative videos and short quizzes, you will explore the biblical goal and importance of discipleship for every believer in Christ Jesus.
- The second module provides an overview of the Freedom in Christ (FIC) approach to biblical discipleship. This approach lays a biblical foundation for resolving personal and spiritual conflicts through a process called The Steps to Freedom in Christ.
- The third module will give you personal exposure to the key concepts and process by working through the online interactive E-book RESTORED: Living Life with Jesus, by Dr. Neil T. Anderson. Here you will process through the 7 “steps” of transformation.
- The fourth module will present some recommendations for personal disciple-making using the Freedom in Christ approach, including book resources, video small group studies, and training for personal disciple-making and/or developing a discipleship making ministry within your church.
