Full course description
3rd - 5th grade students will be engaged in an exciting hands-on arts and technology summer camp with Professor Chotsani Elaine Dean during four half-days. Students will learn how the vast tradition of ceramics has applications in today's digital world using Makerspace technologies such as 3D and laser printers available in AU's Center for Innovation and Digital Learning.
The event will Monday-Thursday from 9am-12pm on June 10-13th. Lunch is included. Campers will meet in the Makerspace in the Center for Innovation and Digital Learning in the basement of Thrift Library.
Students will combine clay and digital materials to make connections with the cultural history of ceramic processes with today's innovative, creative practices. Throughout the summer camp, students will build skills related to self-expression and digital processes that will help them see the creative in their everyday life.
